Bio

Born in Toronto, Kylie Sandford currently lives and works in the Eastern Townships, Québec. Her recent awards include grant funding with the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CALQ), First prize for Rush with Rêves d’automne, Baie St Paul, Qc., as well as Honorable mention for The pool with the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) in Toronto. Kylie completed her BFA at Concordia University, Montreal, which included studies in Nîmes, France.

With the use of traditional oil painting techniques, she recreates the subtleties of light by using transparent layers of colour for resonance and depth in her landscapes. Passionate about painting and traditional mediums, Kylie uses a combination of painterly and realist brushwork to recreate an intimate quiet moment with nature.

Kylie is a professional member of the Le Regroupement des Artistes en Arts Visuels du Québec (RAAV) and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CMAQ). Her work can be found in private collections internationally.
